Summer hockey successes

While many of us have waited an age to play some competitive hockey again, we have a number of highly talented students who have played representative hockey over the last year and summer holiday period.

Hugh Page (Leaver 2021) represented England U18’s in a Home Nations series of test matches over the summer. Hugh got the A levels he needed and is heading to Nottingham University to read Chemistry. Nottingham University also play in the National League North and the BUCS Championships.

Jack Webb (L6 Burton) captained, scored and represented England U16’s in a Home Nations series of test matches over the summer and has since been selected to trial for the England U18’s 2022.

Charlie Milsom (F4 Arundell) has been selected to trial for the UK Lions U14’s following her performances for the U13 West Panthers at the U13 Girls National Cup (winners) and Repton Cup (runners-up) tournaments.

Toby Day (L5 Burton) has been selected to trial for the England U16’s 2022 following a successful Futures Cup in August, where he finished as top scorer for his side the Wessex Leopards, bagging a hat-trick in one game.

Rob Dymond (U6 Burton), Katie Marden (U6 Arundell) (pictured below) and Jack Webb represented England at the UK School Games in Loughborough, last week, playing teams from Wales, Scotland and Ulster. Rob and Katie’s selection was made following their DiSE programme throughout Lower Sixth and Jack was selected because of his England U16 involvement.

We are looking forward to many more moments to celebrate, this 2021/22 season.
