Head of Religion & Philosophy - Bath
Permanent - Start September 2025
An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead an updated Religion & Philosophy department at Prior Park College, Bath an exceptional 11-18 HMC senior day and boarding school set in a stunning 57-acre estate.
This role arises at a particularly exciting time. With the School flourishing amidst a challenging market, from September 2025 Prior Park embarks on a bold, new GCSE programme that will see students enjoy almost complete choice over the disciplines they study.
This will be unique in the local market and a keystone of the new programme will be a fresh Religion & Philosophy offering at KS4, replacing our current Theology programme. With the full support of the SLT, setting and enacting a vision for this will be a key part of your initial remit as our new Head of Religion & Philosophy.

The Department
From September 2025, the updated Religion & Philosophy department at Prior Park will spring from our current Theology department, reflecting a similar change in our GCSE offering. Minibus Driver - Bath
Fixed Term Contract - Full Time - Term Time
Opportunity for a proactive and motivated Minibus Driver to join our friendly team to provide a reliable minibus service for our pupils, safely transporting them to and from Prior Park College and The Paragon School and schools' events in the local area and to include airport transfers and working some weekends.
The successful candidate will have a full, clean driving licence and current D1 entitlement (passing driving test before 1997 or taken a D1 test after 1997), the ability to interact appropriately with young children, parents and colleagues and excellent time management skills. At least 2 years’ driving experience due to insurance requirements. A portable DBS would also be beneficial.
Will be working full time, term time on a fixed term contract up until and including 4 July 2026. There is an opportunity this could be further extended dependent on the needs of the business. School runs operate daily between Monday to Friday 6.30am to 8.30am, Monday to Thursday 6pm to 8pm, Fridays 5pm to 7pm. This may also include daytime sporting fixtures as required.

Chef de Partie:
Catering for 750 students and teachers daily, we offer a core feeding of breakfast, lunch, supper and evening snack. Lots of hospitality at this location. This is a term-time plus contract, working 48 weeks. This is a 7-day operation so working pattern would be 5 out of 7.
You will have previous experience of working within a fast-paced kitchen at CDP or junior sous chef level.
You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset.
Key responsibilities:
- To work well in a team of chefs providing catering services to pupils and teachers
- To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the companies brand standards

Estates Technician Apprentice, Grounds and Gardens - Bath
Permanent - Full Time
Prior Park College, Bath is seeking a dedicated Apprentice to join our Grounds and Gardens team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning. Hands on experience will be provided in horticulture and landscape maintenance supported by our Head of Grounds and Gardens.

This is a manual job that requires working outdoors in a rewarding environment with variable amounts of manual handling. Holding a clean driving license is essential.

The role will help maintain the schools extensive gardens and grounds to a high standard and support the Head of Grounds and Gardens as required. Flexibility in this role is required. Prior Park is looking for someone seeking a career working outdoors in a rewarding environment. The successful applicant will be on an NVQ2 Horticulture Apprenticeship and will have the opportunity to learn about a wide range of garden and grounds tasks. The role will allow the person to be taught how to maintain and construct flower beds, embrace and work with nature and look after shrubs and lawns. We also have a wide range of sports facilities including football and cricket pitches which they will learn to help maintain.
The role is based predominantly at Prior Park college and travel to the Paragon school to work will also be essential
The main areas of responsibility include:
- Be willing to work outdoors in any weather conditions.
- Maintain the playing surfaces in a suitable condition for the particular sport in season at that time (including setting out and marking pitches)
- At the end of each season erecting and dismantling relevant goals etc
- Carry out seasonal gardening duties on and off campus, for example: weeding, watering, edging, hoeing, pruning, mulching, mowing, clearing areas/brushing and litter picking.
- To become conversant and skilled in the use of tools and machinery which are used in the maintenance and preparation of playing surfaces whilst upholding the College’s Health & Safety regulations at all times.
- To learn to use appropriate spraying equipment (if qualified) and understand the safe working procedure associated with such work.
- Maintenance of hedges, ditches, verges, car parks and paths
- Care and maintenance of trees on site to include low level pruning, clearance and replanting
- Maintain the gardens as instructed including the flower beds, hanging baskets, tubs and pots, summer and winter bedding plants, wildlife area and mow and strim grass areas
- Any other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time
The Estates Department maintains the buildings, grounds and gardens at both Prior Park College and the Paragon school reporting to the Estates Manager. The team consists of general builders, plumbers, carpenter, electrician and apprentice. This team maintains the schools’ general maintenance, ensuring compliance and carrying out small capital works. The grounds and gardens side consists of gardeners, grounds persons specialising in sports preparation and grounds presentation.

Receptionist - Gibraltar

Prior Park School Gibraltar is looking to appoint a Part Time, Job Share Receptionist to run the busy reception area of the school, providing ‘first point of contact’ support to visitors, staff and pupils. The Receptionist will work closely with other Support team members to include Facilities/Resources Manager, the Headmaster and Marketing to develop the role to reflect the needs and demands of the post.

The Paragon Junior School, Bath an independent, co-educational day school based in a beautiful Georgian house a mile from the centre of Bath. Catering for more than 250 children aged three to 11.
