Summer Concert

The annual Summer Concert is a fantastic way to showcase some of the amazing music talent here at Prior and at the end of a hot summer's day, it was a pleasure to listen to in the cool surroundings of Our Lady of the Snows Chapel.

The Concert Band, directed by Director of Music, Mr Roberston, opened proceedings with The Beatles Twist and Shout followed by some Mussorgsky and Bach. U6 student Gabriel Lie then took over conducting duties with an energetic rendition of The Final Countdown.

Mr Sackett introduced the Orchestra who performed Elgar's patriotic Pomp and Circumstance, noting that the concert was taking place at the same time as an England World Cup football match! The Oboe Quartet played a stunning Mozart piece before Miss Brandwood conducted the Junior Chapel Choir, How Far I'll Go from 'Moana', Joyful Joyful by Beethoven and A Million Dreams from 'The Greatest Showman'.

The Q Time Band played Elton John's Can you Feel The Love Tonight followed by Rock around the Clock and Medieval Dance before the Grand Collective Finale.

Congratulations to all the musicians taking part and to the Music Department for organising a wonderful end of year event.
