All Hallows students enjoy Music Technology workshop

Eleven top music students from All Hallows School enjoyed a special day out at the College last week for a Music Technology workshop.

Directed by Mr Sackett, the day gave each child an opportunity to get their hands on a high-spec MacBook, fully equipped with the latest music technology software, for a day of sequencing and movie-music composing, exploring the amazing power and variety of today’s music production programmes.

The students had a great time taking their first steps into Music Tech and left clutching a memory stick containing their own compositions, created during the day. Prior Park runs a busy and highly successful Music Tech programme and many former Prior students are now working in the music and media industry. Who knows, in a few years these might be the next Music Tech A Level success stories, on their way to becoming the internet musicians and movie composers of the future.
