In addition, many departments run extra 'catch-up' lessons throughout the week.
Our Sixth Formers are effective leaders within the school and run various societies. Sixth Formers help junior pupils with both learning and adaptation to school life. Many of our Sixth Form are prefects for younger years, there are also opportunities to be part of the Paired Reading programme to lead discussions or debates.
Prior Concern offers students a chance to work in a number of local charitable projects such as helping the homeless, working with nursery children and visiting the elderly in local care homes.
Eco-Prior acts to prevent climate change, works actively to conserve energy around the school and beyond and, of course, promotes the protection of the natural environment.
Our Charities Committee aims to make as much money as possible for the worthy causes voted for by the entire school. Charities Week is a chance for each tutor group to compete to raise the most money by washing cars, shining shoes and doing sponsored bike rides, to name a few, however teachers getting sponged and cake sales are favourites amongst most students.
