Co-Curricular
We understand how important the co-curricular offering is when deciding which school is the right fit for you. At Prior Park College, we offer an extensive range of co-curricular opportunities.
The objectives of any co-curricular programme are that it should be inclusive, provides opportunity, develops talents, is enriching, provides a global education, offers access to outdoor education, encourages personal and physical development, leadership and most importantly is fun!
Our After School Activities Programme features over 30 activities or clubs ranging from astronomy to chess, metal work to circuit training. Students are required to choose one activity per week and the choice can vary each term. If a student has an external activity they wish to continue with, this can be included within the programme once approved.
Our outdoor education includes Bronze and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards and CCF. Our CCF cadets develop their leadership skills and enjoy a variety of offsite trips and onsite activities, including flight simulator club.
Our Prior 4 Life programme for the Sixth Form has ensured that our students leave the school with a wide range of skills such as car maintenance, cookery, personal finance and first aid.
We also give back to the community with our Prior Concern programme visiting residential care homes, primary schools and supporting those in need.
Our excellent PSCHE programme runs in all year groups and Music, Drama and Sport continue to enrich the cultural and physical development of our students.
With such a wide variety of activities on offer, we are confident of providing something for everyone to enjoy and develop.
