Fees and Finance

(1) As shown in the published table, lunches (which are exempt from VAT) will be charged separately as extras in 2026/27 at £1,200 per year (£480 in the Michaelmas Term, £360 in the Lent and Summer Terms)

(2) Please note that an additional visa administration fee of £750 will be payable if a visa is required.

(3) Exam charges will be billed as an extra in line with the charge which we receive from the examination boards.

(4) A full term's notice is required before the removal of a pupil or a change in their status between boarding categories or from boarding to day pupil. In default of so doing, one term's fees in lieu of such notice will be charged.

(5) Every effort is made to keep ‘extras’ to a minimum but it is likely that you will be billed for extra activities such as educational trips and activities.  Your permission will be sought for your child to attend an activity that will generate an ‘extras’ charge over £20.

(6) The Full Boarding rate includes transport from the airport at the beginning and end of each term (as long as your child joins the organised transport provided) and weekend boarding activities.

• Registration Fee: A registration fee of £150 is payable for all new applicants to Prior Park College or The Paragon School.
• Acceptance Fee: An acceptance fee of £600 is payable on acceptance of a place and is required to secure a successful applicant’s place at Prior Park College or The Paragon School.

Accommodation is available to all pupils during the half term holidays at a fully inclusive price of £97.50 per day.

This includes supervision by current House Parents and Prior Park staff, on site accommodation, activity program, transport, daily leisure facility access to the Fitness Suite, Sports Hall, and Tennis Courts.

Catering provision on site including all meals, snacks and food treats, an extensive activities programme which has included visits to Virtual Reality & Escape rooms, Ninja Warrior, Cinema, Bowling, Pottery, Paddle Boarding, Water Parks, Super Slides, Lazer Quest tournaments, Surfing at The Wave, Indoor Go Karting and a day out to Thorpe Park. For food enthusiasts we have recently enjoyed visits to Cosmos, ZaZa Bazaar, Slim Chickens and Wagamama's, regular takeaway nights are always popular with Pizza, 5 Guys and Thai food among the popular choices, Bristol & Baths diverse food scene offer opportunities to try something new and exciting.

Subject to availability day pupils may stay overnight in the boarding houses for a dinner, bed and breakfast fee of £100. Parents should contact their pupil’s HSM if they are interested in booking overnight stays on this basis.

Parents of International boarders are recommended to use Flywire to make their payments (deposit and school fees) to minimise the bank charges and to enable easier repayment of deposits at the end of their child’s schooling with us. Their website is as follows: priorpark.flywire.com

Late payments attract an interest charge on the full outstanding balance. Interest will be added at a rate of 2% per month from the second day of term on all unpaid balances. Repeated instances of late payments may lead us to insist that parents set up a direct debit for the payment of fees on the first day of each term.

The following insurance schemes are offered to parents on an opt-in basis with an additional termly charge (the charges below are for 25/26 and are subject to update by insurers over the Summer):

·       Pupil Absence Insurance Scheme (opt in if required) charged at 0.95% of School Fees per term.

·       Personal Possessions Insurance (opt in if required) £8.30 per term.

·       AXA PPP Medical (opt in if required) £158 per term. A completed application form is required for your child to be covered by this insurance policy which can be accessed via the school website.

The Trust also provides personal accident insurance for all pupils within the School Fees.

Prior Park Schools offer a discount to parents who have two or more children simultaneously at our schools. A discount of 5% will be applied for a second child, 10% for a third child, 15% for a fourth child and 20% for a fifth child. Sibling discounts will be applied in addition to any Scholarship or similar award.

A range of scholarships are available. The Scholarship brochure, indicating the benefits of being awarded a scholarship can be obtained from the Admissions Team or via our website.

Bursaries are awarded strictly according to the Prior Park Schools’ Means Tested Bursary Policy in response to financial need, either to relieve difficulty in the family of an existing pupil, or to enable entry to Prior Park College by pupils whose parents could not otherwise afford the fees.

All applications are made via our external third-party provider, Bursary Assessment Associates who run the process via their secure portal and report back to the school with the results. This ensures that each application is reviewed objectively and on the same basis so that we can be equitable I the stewardship of the limited bursary funds available to under the Trust.

We are proud to support families who are in receipt of the Continued Education Allowance (CEA) with an additional 10% fee remission against our full boarding fee.  All serving HM Armed Forces personnel who are not in receipt of the CEA will receive a 10% fee remission against the prevailing day fee are and are also welcome to apply for a means-tested bursary.

English as an Additional Language is taught either individually or in very small groups. Where these lessons are charged the cost (which is exempt from VAT) is as follows per 35 minute session:

·       Individual Lesson £28

·       Group of 2 sharing a lesson £14 per pupil

·       Group of 3+ £10 per pupil

LDP group session: £12.50 per 35 min session

LDP 1:1 session: £25 per 35 min session

Additional therapies and interventions, delivered by external providers will be secured in liaison with you and will be either invoiced separately or, by agreement, added to the termly invoice.

Mentoring and additional support: The many hours of LDP guidance, in class support, exam adjustments, advice and support, craft clubs, break and lunchtime drop-in sessions, LDP prep support, are delivered without an additional fee.

Music tuition is offered at a half hourly rate of £35.30 or on a termly basis as follows:

• Michaelmas Term:  £423.60 (12 lessons)
• Lent Term: £353 (10 lessons)
• Summer Term: £282.40 (8 lessons)

An application form for music lessons can be requested from the Music or Finance Departments.

Instruments are available for hire at a termly cost of £65 (which includes their use at weekends and during the holidays). Piano and organ pupils are not charged hire fees. Drum pupils are charged £35 per term because pupil access to these instruments is more restricted. It is the hirer's responsibility to make any necessary insurance arrangements whilst keeping school instruments at home.

MFL lessons in a range of European and Asian languages can be provided by an individual specialist language tutor at the rate of £57 per session. These can be booked through Miss Main - Head of Eurasian Studies.

LAMDA tuition is offered at the following rates:

·       £30 for 35 min session

·       £15 for 35 min session (Duologue)

LAMDA lessons are 35 minutes a week in which students follow an acting syllabus working towards an exam. Students can work as solo performers or in a pair.

Although most students choose acting or devising, we can also offer the LAMDA communication syllabus covering verse and prose, public speaking or reading for performance.

LAMDA is excellent fo a range of skills and can really boost confidence and communication skills. LAMDA also offers UCAS points at grades 6, 7 and 8.

All 6th Formers are charged £75 per year for membership of the 6th Form Club. This subscription (charged in the Lent term) is used to subsidise tea, coffee, social-events, lectures and leadership days and to improve the overall 6^th form experience. This also helps to fund the leaving events for pupils in the Upper Sixth Form.

All pupils (except those entering L3 in September) are required to use a school supplied laptop that is designed to support their digital learning whilst at Prior Park College. We call these laptops “Personal Learning Devices” (PLDs). The PLD is a Windows 11 device which integrates directly with the schools’ Microsoft 365 learning platform and ensures that all students have the same access to our learning platform wherever they are studying.

The fee is £100 per term

You are paying for the PLD "service" - this includes access for your child to the PLD itself, the online safeguarding and management systems (both inside and outside of school) as well as antivirus/malware protection. You will not be entering into any kind of lease agreement, and you will only be paying for each term that your child attends. The PLD remains the property of the school and is returned when your child leaves Prior Park College.

All PLDs are covered by a Manufacturer’s warranty to repair or replace any defective part that fails. For other damage to the PLDs, such as impacts, pressure damage, water damage, etc, both accidental or through misuse, repairs are chargeable. Some PLD damage can be repaired in house at a fixed cost, details and items covered below:

All other damage not listed will need to be sent to Lenovo's repair centre, which incurs a £72 (inc VAT) depot repair fee, additional to any parts that need to be replaced. Students will always be issued with an ‘instant swap’ PLD while theirs is repaired, ensuring there is no interruption to their learning." Please note that you will be informed of any damage incurred during the term which costs more than £50 to repair but that some smaller items or repairs (under £50) may be added to the termly bill without prior notification.

We are trying as a school to reduce printing and ask for your co-operation to achieve this. Pupils will have a reasonable initial termly budget for printing and once this budget has been used up we will recharge the costs of printing above this limit in tranches of £10. In some circumstances these charges will be waived if the printing is deemed necessary for the curriculum / subject.
