Joining Prior Park College, 11+

From their first day, Prior Park students are supported every step of the way, building the confidence, friendships and independence they need to prepare them for the next stage of their education and beyond.
The Junior House System
- The House System is at the heart of pastoral care at Prior Park College, providing every student with a strong sense of belonging, support and community throughout their school journey. In the junior years, students are either members of Baines House (Year 7) or Brownlow House (Year 8).
- Each Junior House is co-educational and has its own dedicated area within the school, conveniently located near the main teaching block. Each House is led by a Housemaster or Housemistress, supported by a team of tutors who provide guidance and pastoral care to small tutor groups, ensuring every student is well known and well supported.
- Students in Baines and Brownlow take part in a wide range of House competitions, assemblies and shared activities, fostering friendships, teamwork and House spirit.
- At the end of Year 8, students move into one of our single-sex Senior Houses, where they remain from Years 9 to 13.
