The move from junior to senior school can be daunting, for both children and parents. At Prior Park, we understand the importance of supporting and guiding families through this journey.

Students joining at Lower 3 (Year 7) will go into Baines House. This House was set up to allow our new students to manage the demands of senior school life and act as a haven within a busy school. Baines is an environment where tutors are available to help remove any anxiety, pupils feel at home and new friendships can blossom.

Baines pupils are frequently linked with Brownlow House, our Form 3 (Year 8). Brownlow is run by Housemistress, Mrs Saunders-Prowse (or Mrs SP as she is known by the students!) The aim of Brownlow is to prepare students for their transition into the senior houses (Year 9 and up) and embed the values of excellence, contribution and academic focus required for future success at the College.

Each House has its own area within the school, situated near the main teaching block. The Housemaster/mistress is supported by a team of tutors who look after their own small groups of students.

Baines and Brownlow will be entered in House competitions as well as sharing some assemblies and homework opportunities.
