Prior Park College is once again celebrating some tremendous GCSE results scoring a 96% pass rate on grades 9-4 (equivalent to A*- C).
Jack Beeching achieved nine 9s and two A* grades: out of over half a million students across England, only 732 students achieved this. Our top four students, Jack, Hannah Lowrie, Charlie Mullin and Jemima Thursz, achieved thirty-two 9s, four 8s, two 7s and eight A* grades. Overseas pupils also enjoyed great success with the top two gaining eleven 9s, five 8s, two 7s, two A* and one A grade between them.
Headmaster, James Murphy-O’Connor commented: “I’d like to congratulate our students and teaching staff on another excellent set of results. My staff have done a fantastic job of guiding our students through the new GCSE exams. Of course, our story is not just about those students that gain the top grades, we have some remarkable pupils that have performed extremely well despite difficult personal circumstances and we are very proud of them and their achievements. I look forward to welcoming our returning students to Sixth Form.”
