F4 Careers Day

F4 students spent the first day back after the Easter holidays participating in an inspiring Careers Day at the College with some highly impressive guest speakers.

The first presentation was by Fraser Doherty, founder of 100% fruit jam company, SuperJam. He started the company at the age of fourteen, using his Gran's recipes. Since then, SuperJam has grown to supply over 2,000 supermarkets around the world, selling millions of jars along the way.

Henry Scotland works for Iris, a creative network of over 1000 people in 14 offices around the world, working with some of the world's biggest businesses including Samsung, adidas and Shell. Henry showed us two of the global advertising and marketing campaigns he has directed - for adidas and VW - and brought along a signed pair of Lionel Messi's football boots!

Richard Mackreill set up Apriori, a games development studio, with three friends from University. He explained the pros and cons of setting up your own small business and shared his 5 top tips!

In the afternoon alumni Emily Milton Stephens gave a talk on 'choices' describing hers through her time during and after Prior, and Isabel Blazewicz ran a training workshop.

Our thanks to all our guests and to Mr Fitzpatrick for organising the day.
