The Chapel Choir of Prior Park had the concert trip of a lifetime this week. Along with Classics students from the College, they flew to sunny Rome to give three concerts and two Masses in some of the world's most famous and beautiful churches, including performances under the magnificent domes of both the Pantheon and St Peter's in the Vatican.
In a busy schedule, they climbed the Spanish Steps, tossed coins into the Trevi Fountain, toured the Forum and studied the treasures in the Capitoline Museum, as well as enjoying the best of the great city's pizza and gelato.
Director of Music Roland Robertson, who conducted the choir, said: 'Rome has so many unforgettable experiences and inspiring memories to offer our students, especially musicians and classicists. It was a fabulous privilege for us to sing in these wonderful churches and to be guided around by our very own expert Classics teachers.'
