Learning Development Programme

Mrs Katie Mason is Head of the Learning Development Programme/Prior Park College SEN(D)Co. This support programme is very successful and the College currently offers a limited number of places to pupils with a variety of specific learning needs.

The Programme aims to guide and support pupils so that they can achieve their potential by helping them to fully access the wide ranging curriculum provided by Prior Park College. This is achieved through individual or small group lessons, led by dedicated specialist teachers. The LDP teachers liaise closely with parents, pastoral tutors and subject teachers to ensure pupils on the Programme can fulfil their potential.

Pupils are accepted into the Department in accordance with the College’s Admissions Policy. Supporting documentation from the pupil's current school is required at an early stage in the admissions process. In order to assess suitability for the programme, pupils may be invited to attend further assessments before an offer may be made.

The Registrar will be able to advise on availability before registering for a place on the Learning Development Programme and early registration is essential. Priority will be given to pupils from The Paragon School and Prior Park Preparatory School,
